These 4" thick panels can be mounted flush against a wall, but are recommended to be mounted across a corner, allowing for the absorption of lower bass frequencies in the back of the panel. Bass absorption is especially important when recording speech or vocals, multi-instrumental music, or listening to high quality speakers in a closed space.
